When In The Valley

When In The Valley

It can sometimes feel like God is a million miles away from us. We do not always live on top of the mountain in victory, but all of us face valleys in our lives. We all have a story to tell, and much of it is ugly and full of sorrows and scars.

It is during these times of our lives that Satan loves to tell us that we have no hope, that God is
not there, that we are all alone in our struggle. And it sure can feel that way! Our seasons in the
valley have a way of draining us of our joy, and filling us with hopelessness. It is during these
times of feeling lost and alone that it sounds so much easier to just give up or give in. We get
tired of fighting, tired of the struggle, and quitting just sounds so much easier.

But if there is one thing I have learned, it is that God is always there, even when we can't feel
Him, even if we have pushed Him away. He is there, patiently waiting to fill our hearts with His
peace. God has seen me through situations that looked impossible and many times I have
looked back and wondered how I could have doubted Him?

He has carried me through many storms, some of which were even of my own making. And
when I turn to Him, He gently restores my spirit, gives me His peace, and leads me through.

Romans 8:35-39: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
