Fervent Prayer
"The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth
much." James 5:16b
From time to time we may feel we have lost our fervency in
prayer. This is not surprising! Satan seeks to neutralize us by strategically
attacking our weaknesses. We must be aware of his tactics.
Jesus is always with us. We may not feel Him, but his Word says
He never leaves us or forsakes us. Are we tired of the mundane? Poor health?
Financial struggles? Family problems? Lost loved ones? It is time to realize
that we, as children of God and joint heirs with him have power in the throne
room!
Begin your prayer with an appointed time to meet Jesus. Give Him
praise for past answered prayer. Bring your requests to Him expecting Him to do
what He knows is best, knowing that NOTHING is impossible! It doesn't matter
what a diagnosis is; it doesn't matter
what a financial situation is; it doesn't matter if you have a problem
marriage; no one is too lost in sin that He cannot save! Expect great things,
trusting Him.
Prayer is exciting! Keep a journal of answered prayer. God has
healed me of glaucoma, migraines, and other problems. He has met financial
needs. He has intervened in others' lives when I have been a part of their
miracles. Prayer is an exciting journey! Expect the unexpected!
Be aware of the enemy's tactics and fight him through prayer.
Fight him with the Word. Jesus said, It is written......"
